![]() In fact, you can’t help thinking that The Force Awakens would’ve been much better suited to one of the new style of larger Lego Dimensions expansions. To be honest, we’d be much more interested in seeing Star Wars added to Lego Dimensions than another standalone game – and that may well happen next year, now that Disney Infinity is no more. But its mixing of properties does much more to give an illusion of variety than the shallow new gimmicks of Lego The Force Awakens. The other problem is that we still enjoyed Lego Dimensions more, despite its gameplay being arguably simpler (although it does have much better boss battles). The physical comedy is aimed at the particularly young, but there’s plenty to amuse adults too, including gags about everything from Stormtroopers’ aiming to Harrison Ford breaking his leg and what Kylo Ren’s bedroom looks like. The other positive is the game’s sense of humour, which is obviously not a new feature but still a key attraction. The ones where one person is piloting and the other is manning the guns are particularly good, if both players know what they’re doing. Vehicle sections, so often a low point of Lego games, have also undergone a rethink and now often take place in small open world areas. Although the boast of more advanced artificial intelligence doesn’t really amount to anything else other than Stormtroopers occasionally calling in reinforcements. This helps to sell the idea that you’re playing with real Lego and gives something for the bad guys to aim at, rather than just ineffectually shooting at you all the time. The other big new feature is the ability to build more than one object out of a single pile of Lego, by going up to it and breaking it down to its component parts again. It always feels odd to defend an overused formula but, like James Bond or superhero films, some work so well they become like comfort food, where only a small deviation or gimmick is needed to keep your interest. Ideally you’ll do so with a friend, as offline co-op has always been one of the games’ key appeals – especially given how approachable they are for non-gamers. Your little minifigures run around shooting, punching, or lightsabering hapless Stormtroopers, as you complete various Lego-based puzzles against fixed camera backdrops. We’ll get to the new features in a moment, but in terms of the basic gameplay and structure this is still pretty much the same as it was back in 2005. has been allowed such a surprising amount of access to the movie’s cast, with almost everyone reprising their roles and recording new dialogue – even Harrison Ford. A close review of these Zernike terms, in particular, can assist in the differentiation of pathologic steeping of the cornea from otherwise symmetric or regular astigmatism. Conclusions: Keratoconus and pellucid marginal degeneration are characterized by inferior corneal thinning and steeping that induces third order coma–like and trefoil–like aberrations. A review of total eye wavefront data showed that vertical coma is significantly increased in KCN (p=.02) but not PMD, and that vertical trefoil is selectively increased in PMD (p=.03). Analysis of corneal first surface elevation data differentiated keratonic and pellucid eyes from controls, but not from each other, as several cases had a forme fruste presentation. Pellucid eyes were marked by against–the–rule astigmatism, which was not as readily seen in the other groups (p<.01), and an inferiorly displaced thinnest point (p<.01) identified via optical pachymetry (mean –1.5 mm position in the y–axis versus 0.0 control and –0.5 KCN). Keratoconic eyes had thinner corneas on average (mean 461 + 122 µm KCN, 541 + 37 µm control, 493 + 81 µm PMD) than both control and pellucid counterparts (p=.03). Results: Compared to control eyes, keratoconic and pellucid corneas had a significantly wider distribution of corneal power within Orbscan–derived 3 and 5 mm central zones (p<0.01). Some wavefront data was excluded because of poor centroid detail or due to small, undilated pupil size. Hartmann–Shack wavefronts (Zywave, Bausch & Lomb, Rochester, NY) were statistically analyzed at a 5 mm pupil for 6 normal, 19 keratoconic, and 3 pellucid eyes. Slit–scanning videokeratography (Orbscan II, Bausch & Lomb, Salt Lake City, UT) was performed on each eye. Methods: A retrospective review identified patients with a clinical diagnosis of keratoconus (n=49), pellucid marginal degeneration (n=14), and a control group with central corneal power > 47 diopters in at least one meridian (n=11). Purpose: To compare the ocular and corneal wavefront aberrations in control eyes to eyes with a clinical diagnosis of keratoconus (KCN) or pellucid marginal degeneration (PMD). ![]() You should feel encouraged to find new ways to explore your personal growth and strengthen connections you value and build new ones you’re eager to create. Like a dark episode of South Park If you enjoy witty indie games, are patient with puzzles, and can handle blood and guts, Kindergarten is the game for you. Overall, Kindergarten is an entertaining game, though the seemingly-endless repeating rooms sabotage its satisfaction. It’s not a huge time investment, either, as the game can be finished in 4-8 hours. The game can be enjoyed by casual or serious players, though people who play a lot of RPGs or puzzle games could progress faster than people new to the genre. Dialogue is difficult to skip in repeat playthroughs, which gets annoying when you’re on your third or fourth redo of a scene. Overall, the graphics and audio have been masterfully tailored to the experience, giving Kindergarten its unique charm. Bright color palettes drastically contrast the morbid events of the game, driving up the shock value when a character messily dies. The character designs are simple but distinctive. The game’s graphics and mechanics are reminiscent of a 64-bit RPG. As far as indie games go, it’s a unique, polished experience. If the player collects all 25, they unlock a secret ending. Also, there is an in-game collectible item called Monstermon cards, which can be acquired along the way. You’ll find yourself replaying rooms, and sometimes entire days, to get the right answers for progression. Dialogue is crucial to gameplay, and the wrong choice can end in death. An unusual concept You are a kindergartener, navigating school and interpersonal relationships through the power of trial-and-error.
